How Do I Teach My 5 Month Old Girl To Put The Pacifier Back In Her Mouth?

by admin on Feb.08, 2010, under Main Site

My baby girl likes to slip with a pacifier, but since she flips her self from side to side it falls out and she starts crying. How do i teach her to put it back?

I didnt have to teach my son. I think he was about 6 months when he learned that he could put it in his mouth by himself.
Give your daughter time… im sure she will figure it out!

you cant teach her she will figure that out on her own.
my daughter started putting her binky back in her mouth by herself when she was about 6 months – it always wound up upside down but she didnt mind
one day you will turn around and your daughter will have popped that binky in her mouth on her own without you seeing it and you will wonder did i give it to her?NO!she can do it by herself!!possibly followed by a little jig to celebrate
try a pacifier leash clipped to her shirt on the same side all the time so she knows exactly where her binky goes when it falls out of her mouth – my daughter has a pacifier leash and when she loses her binky she reaches up to her shoulder to find the strap and then she finds the binky!!

Just hand it to her. She’ll eventually realize she can put it back in her mouth, it might take some time, but she’ll get it.

During the day set her on a blanket and give her the pacifier to play with, if she loses it hand it to her to try to place back in her mouth. My son learned this at 4 1/2 months and boy was I happy!! Just put it in her hand so she can learn the hand eye coordination that will help her place it back in her mouth. Good Luck!

You’re kidding right? I don’t believe there is anyway you can teach her how to do it. She will either figure it out on her own or she won’t.

I never taught my daughter she just figured it out on her own. I’m not sure how you would teach her how to do that. She will do it soon I think my daughter did it around 6 months!!
