Teach Me To Do

Since girls naturally have different bodies than boys, it stands to reason to me that a dad would rather teach a boy how to fight and self defense, and feel that girls are too weak and emotionally unstable, and should stay away from even the easiest of physical activities. I’m just curious what some parents think, and what they teach their boys and girls to do if attacked.

I know it’s different everywhere in the world so I ‘m only asking about in the U.S.
What m.a. systems do they teach to law enforcements or the marines or navy seals??
Don’t tell me weapons, i’m asking about martial arts.
Since they are not dealing with sport competitions but with “Real life” situations…people always say how things are entirely different when happening in real life…
ok i’m sure the police and soldiers are the forefront people to taste real life scenarios on a daily basis.

I am interested in joining the FBI when i get older and I am curious what type of martial arts they teach you when you join, considering that I want to be a special agent. A friend of mine told me that they teach you jujitsu.

Someone I know has a black belt in jiu jitsu and is looking into getting a license to teach. Where can you get a license like that and what does it involve (taking a test, a class, etc)? I’m especially looking for local places around San Jose, California.

I am going for energy and stamina somewhat the look and to lose weight. I am thinking I can do my push ups, sit ups, stomach crunches, martial arts every other day and the gym the days im not doing that. Monday home routine Tuesday gym Wednesday home routine thursday gym etc.
If you know a better way let me know?
What machines should I be using at the gym?
How do the professionals handle this?

I was wondering how many of you instructors and advanced martial artists (5th dan and above) have made your own instructional videos? If so did you have someone else film, edit, produce it? Did you do the editing yourself? If you edited the video yourself, what software or suite did you use?
After several years I finally did find a video editing suite that I used to produce 9 instructional videos. They are not Hollywood quality, but I only wanted something reasonable. I want people to be able to learn from them, not be wowed by a bunch of special effects. I’ve seen to many videos that distract you with un-necessary effects.
I have used many video editing suites. My experiences were that most were very disappointing. Several suites either would not install, or would freeze up when using.

I have to get fit for a martial arts grading in September. So need to be able to withstand four hours or so of highly intense activity. Any suggestions gratefully appreciated.
