I have to take the paraprofessional test to be an instructional aide in California and I am really struggling to find any specific information on the web as to what exactly is on it. Some have said Algebra or Pre-Algebra or just study Cliff’s Notes for Math. Has anyone taken it and do you have suggestions on how to study?

Is There Any Good Instructional Material I.e. Videos Or Books For New Swimming Pool Owners?
by admin on Aug.05, 2009, under Main Site
There are a few fairly good books out there. Problem is there are so many different pool types, plumbing configurations, filter and pump types, electrical gadgets, etc. that you’d need an entire set of encyclopedias to cover all possibilities! But only a few pages might actually apply to your particular situation. Therefore, I’ve always been one to believe in personal instruction. Individualized for your particular circumstance. Best advice is to call a service company to come out and give you a “driving lesson” on your pool. They can explain water flow, identify all the pieces of equipment and how they work. Show you how to maintain that equipment. How to backwash (or clean) the filter. You can videotape if you like. Make notes. Ask questions. Once you understand how that particular pool works then the fear goes away! Pools are not difficult, but neither do they remain constant. Mother Nature is constantly trying to take over. Our goal is beautiful, blue, clear water. Her goal is tadpoles, algae, swamp water. She is relentless. We must be diligent, lest she win! Well worth the money to pay for a service call to learn the ins and outs of your pool. Much better than groping in the dark and making costly mistakes.
